Mother’s Day Gift Idea

Each year, monarch butterflies make their 3,000-mile migration between North America and Mexico’s Sierra Madre Mountains. They light up our fields and skies — but thanks to toxic herbicides that are killing off native milkweed plants monarch caterpillars desperately need to survive, their population is in danger of collapse!

You can help and give a special mother in your life a lasting, meaningful Mother’s Day gift by making a donation to Natural Resources Defense Council, which has teamed up with Monarch Watch, a program of the University of Kansas that works to plant milkweed across the United States.

When you make your gift, milkweed will be planted in honor of a mom you love and she’ll get a special ecard letting her know.
